SHR Poker Open

The number one player on the GPI Rankings, Jason Mercier, continues to impress everyone with his latest victory during the Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open in Florida. He was able to beat fellow pro player Ian O’Hara, ranked #153 GPI.

It is the fifth consecutive week that Mercier has been ranked first, and it looks like that streak will continue. His victory in the High Roller event marked his 18th win of his career during live tournaments. He was quite happy with his performance, and is hoping to do the same at the EPT in Barcelona.

The High Roller final table results are:

Place Player Winnings
1 Jason Mercier $652,800
2 Ian O’Hara $391,700
3 Sean Winter $245,500
4 Ankush Mandavia $186,200
5 Barry Hutter $141,900

Adding that $652,800 to his $2 million Word Series of Poker winnings, brings his career total to $15,714,817. He is starting to truly show his true talent and skill, and if he was older he might be a great considertaion for the Hall of Fame. Let’s wait and see what he can show us in future tournaments.
